Student assistant in AI Governance (m/f/d)
interface is a European think tank specializing in digital technologies, politics and society. Our aim is to provide policy makers with expertise and ideas - free from commercial interests or party politics.
At interface, our AI Governance Programme focuses on understanding the societal impacts of General Purpose AI systems and ensuring that the development and deployment of these technologies are guided by principles of fairness, accountability, and transparency. We seek to provide evidence-based insights into how AI governance frameworks can mitigate risks and promote the responsible use of AI in society, with a particular focus on EU AI policy as a means to foster ethical standards and ensure responsible innovation.
Key areas of the programme include:
Building the GPAI accountability infrastructure: What oversight mechanisms are needed in Europe to ensure that AI developers and deployers are held accountable for their societal impacts and comply with the AI Act?
Establishing effective standards for GPAI: What practices can we implement to effectively mitigate the risks associated with GPAI? How can we ensure that these standards promote public benefit while remaining conducive to innovation and opportunity?
Measuring GPAI progress: How can we effectively track advancements in AI and assess the impact of national and international AI strategies?
